Standard Stationery Technology
Have you tried a spot of Stalogy? You really should! OK, so it sounds like something out of Kurt Vonnegut's fiction, but it's actually one of those awkward word-collisions , this time composed of Stationery, Standard and Technology. If that sounds like it comes from Japan, full marks!
Stalogy is actually a sub-brand of a conglomerate called Nitoms, which is also heavily into adhesive tape. Well, that explains all the stickers. But they set out to deliver a 'curated' set of functional stationery using high-standard material at a reasonable price, and borrowing from their technological knowledge, and looking at the results it's hard to argue that they didn't succeed.
Nero's been selling some of their best-received Stalogy offerings for quite a while, with their exercise book convincing even B5 sceptics and their half-year dairy/notebook pleasing organised A5 fans. The paper is thin but resilient, and it can take fountain pen ink without drama. No wonder the stock keeps selling out.
There's also a rather nice Stalogy pencil, which Nero isn't selling just yet but one never knows. Better still, new out this month are... Moomins! Well, who saw that coming?
