...and it's goodnight from him
What seems like aeons ago, I met that nice chap Tony at the London Stationery Show. He'd set up an interesting outfit called Pocket Notebooks - forget the app, there's a notebook for that - and very flatteringly wanted to interview me. Then, at the same show a couple of years later, I met Stu, a customer who liked the product so much that he bought the company. There I was, in search of serious nibbage, and I found Victor Kiam!
Much hilarity ensued, and it's been great fun putting many an interesting scribbling tool through its paces ever since. Despite my initial scepticism, I even became a Blackwing fan. A big thanks to Stu and Clare for always keeping it interesting - I know it wasn't only my eyes that were opened to some curious products.
All good things come to an end, and the stationery market is as susceptible to changes of fortune as any other. Everyone involved in this one can walk on with heads held high, I'd say. I'll still be around at places like unitedinkdom.uk if anyone misses these ramblings and amblings, but for now - Merry Jottings!
